The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) reported 6,036 human trafficking cases in India in 2022, a figure that barely scratches the surface of this hidden crisis (50% of these cases are related to Children and 33% cases are commercial sexual exploitation). These official numbers, alarming as they are with an 89% acquittal rate, represents just the tip of the iceberg, underscoring the vast, unseen menace, the anti-human trafficking efforts face.

Human trafficking continues to cast a dark shadow, and there is a need for organisations with robust Care, protection and prevention strategies for survivors, to combat this issue, and empower survivors of trafficking.
OUR
SOLUTION
Space2Grow partnered with a social startup committed to combating human trafficking. Their mission was clear: to design comprehensive solutions that prioritised the needs and empowerment of survivors. Focusing on aftercare, alternative livelihoods, and legal support, we crafted a strategy aimed at transforming the lives of those affected.
Aftercare: Space2Grow crafted a robust aftercare strategy, providing survivors with access to counseling, medical assistance, and rehabilitation services with a vision to help survivors heal from their trauma and rebuild their lives with dignity and support.
Alternative Livelihoods: Recognising the importance of economic empowerment, Space2Grow facilitated designing a model that included - skills training, vocational programs, and job placements. The aim was to equip survivors with the tools and opportunities needed to achieve financial independence and pursue a brighter future.
Legal Support: Space2Grow offered comprehensive legal strategy guiding survivors through the complexities of the legal system, advocating for their rights, and pushing for policy reforms to strengthen anti-trafficking laws.
